Email notifications
Which emails the app sends, and how to turn them off.
TracEasy can email a bill the moment it is raised and a receipt the moment a payment is recorded. All of it is optional, and all of it is off or on per business — not per invoice.
Who can do this
adminsuper_adminDeliberately narrower than the other settings: these switches control mail sent in your business’s name, so they stay with admins even where someone else maintains the rest of the settings.
Set the notification address
- 1
Go to Admin → Settings → Notifications.
- 2
Enter the address that should receive invoice and payment notifications for the business.
Use an address someone actually reads — the owner’s, or a shared office inbox.
- 3
Save.
The three switches
| Switch | What it sends |
|---|---|
| Invoice emails | The bill, emailed when an invoice is generated. |
| Invoice change emails | A copy showing what changed, when a bill is edited. |
| Payment receipts | A receipt, emailed when a payment is recorded. |
Each one saves on its own as you toggle it. There is no separate save step.
Before you switch invoice emails on
- Check your parties’ email addresses. A bill sent to a wrong address is worse than one not sent at all.
- Tell your staff. Once it is on, every invoice they generate leaves the building immediately.
- Remember edits are visible. With change emails on, correcting a bill emails the party a copy showing what moved.
Note
Email is a notification, not proof of delivery. An address can bounce or filter mail to spam. For anything that matters, confirm the party has it.
