Run and export a report
Pick a date range, preview on screen, download the Excel file.
Every report works the same way: choose the period, look at it on screen, download it if it is right.
Who can do this
adminsuper_adminview_reportsRun a report
- 1
Go to Reports.
- 2
Set the Time Range, or use a preset: This Month, Last Month, Last 30 Days or This FY.
This FY runs from 1 April, the Indian financial year, not from January.
- 3
Find the report you want. They are grouped into sales reports and purchase reports.
- 4
Select the preview to see it on screen first.
The preview has its own row filter, and totals the numeric columns at the foot so you can sanity-check the figures before sending them anywhere.
- 5
Select the download to get the Excel file.
Note
Running balances and per-unit rates are deliberately not totalled in the preview. Adding up a column of rates gives a number that means nothing, so the app does not offer one.
Reports that need one more choice
- Merchant Ledger / Statement needs a party — a ledger is always about one account.
- Sales reports, where your business issues both series, can be narrowed to tax invoices or retail invoices.
If a report comes back empty
| Likely cause | What to check |
|---|---|
| The date range | Presets use today as the end date. A report for last month needs the Last Month preset, not This Month. |
| The series filter | A tax-only filter with nothing but retail bills in the period returns nothing. |
| Nothing was recorded | A purchase register is empty if no supplier bills were entered. See Record a purchase bill. |
