Check and adjust stock
Search the catalogue, correct a quantity, and watch low-stock items.
The Stocks screen is your shelf, on screen. It lists every item you hold, batch by batch, with what it cost, what it sells for and how much is left.
Who can do this

Find an item

Go to Stocks.

Type into the search box. It matches on product name and catalogue number.
Part of the name is enough — you do not need the whole thing.

Read across the row for stock in hand, selling price, wholesale rate, company, lot, HSN, purchase date and expiry.
Correct a quantity after a physical count
Counts drift. A unit gets broken, a sample goes out, someone miskeys a figure. When the shelf and the screen disagree, the shelf is right.

Find the batch on the Stocks screen.

Edit the quantity in the row and save it.

The stock value on the dashboard updates with it.
Adjusting is not the same as selling
An adjustment changes the number and nothing else — no invoice, no revenue, no party balance. If goods actually left the building against a bill, raise the invoice instead. Adjust only for counts, breakages and corrections.
Watch what is running out
Items at or below their alert threshold are flagged as low stock on the dashboard. Set that threshold when you add a product — an item with no threshold is never flagged, however close to zero it gets.
Common questions
Why does one product appear on several rows?
Those are its batches. Each one has its own lot number, cost and expiry. See Batches and expiry.
I sold something by mistake. How do I get the stock back?
Edit or delete the invoice. The units go back to the batch they came from. See Edit or cancel an invoice.
Can I see who changed a quantity?
Not on the stock screen. Purchases, invoices and payments all carry the name of whoever recorded them, so most stock movements are traceable through those.
