Import products from Excel
Add a whole catalogue in one go from a spreadsheet.
Typing a few hundred products one at a time is nobody’s idea of a good afternoon. The bulk mode on the Add Stock screen takes a whole sheet at once.
Who can do this

Go to Add Stock and switch to Bulk.

Select Import from Excel, then drag your file onto the drop area or browse for it.
The app accepts
.xlsx,.xlsand.csvfiles. - 3
Check how the columns have been read. The rows appear in an editable grid.
Anything the app could not make sense of is highlighted, so you can see what needs attention before anything is saved.

Correct the rows that need it, straight in the grid.

Save. Every valid row is added as a product or added to an existing batch.
Try five rows first
Before importing a thousand-line price list, import five lines of it. You will see how your columns map in a few seconds instead of unpicking a thousand wrong ones.
Typing several rows by hand
The same Bulk mode gives you an empty grid. It is quicker than the single-item form when you have ten or fifteen products to add, because you never leave the keyboard.
What makes a row valid

| Quantity | Yes | Whole units. This is stock coming in. |
| Lot number | If your trade uses lots | Same catalogue number, different lot, means a separate batch. |
| HSN, rates, MRP | No, but strongly advised | A product with no selling price has to have one typed at every sale. |
| Expiry date | If your trade tracks expiry | Belongs to the batch, not the product. |
Careful
A row whose catalogue number and lot already exist adds to that batch rather than creating a second one. That is usually what you want when restocking — and not what you want if you have reused a lot number by mistake.
