Add a party

A party is anyone you bill — a shop, a hospital, a dealer, a walk-in customer. Entering them once means their address and GSTIN land on every future invoice without being typed again, and without being typed differently each time.

Add a party

   Go to the parties list under Admin.

   Add a new party and enter their Name — the only field that is required.

   Enter the GSTIN if they are registered.

   Fifteen characters, like 22AAAAA0000A1Z5. It prints on their invoices and is what their accountant needs to claim input tax credit.

   Fill in the Address, City, State and Pincode.

   The state is not just for the letterhead — it decides whether their invoices carry CGST plus SGST or IGST.

   Add a Mobile number and Email so bills can be sent to them.

   Record their Drug Licence number if your trade requires it.

   It prints on their invoices where the law asks for it.

   Save.

Adding one mid-invoice

You do not have to break off a sale to set up a party. Type a new name into the party box on the billing screen and fill in the details beside it — they are saved to your directory as the invoice is raised.

Checking a GSTIN

A wrong GSTIN on an invoice is a problem for your buyer, and eventually for you. The free GSTIN validator checks the format and checksum in your browser before you save it.
