Choose a print format
A4, A5 or a thermal roll, set once per invoice series.
The same invoice can print on a full A4 sheet for a distribution business or on a 3-inch thermal roll at a retail counter. You choose once, per series, and every bill after that follows it.

Go to Admin → Settings and open the Invoice Settings tab.

Find Invoice Print Format.

Pick a format for your tax invoices, and one for your retail invoices if you issue them.
The two are set separately — A4 for the tax series and a thermal roll for the counter is a perfectly normal combination.

Save. The next invoice you generate uses it.
The formats

| Thermal 2 inch | 2″ roll | Small counter printers. |
| Thermal 3 inch | 3″ roll | The common receipt-printer width. |
| Thermal 4 inch | 4″ roll | Wider rolls, where you want more room per line. |
Tip
Text is sized so it lands about the same physical size on every paper. An A5 bill is a layout made for A5, not an A4 bill shrunk down, so it stays readable.
Sheets and rolls behave differently
- A4 and A5 are sheets. A long invoice runs onto a second page.
- Thermal formats are rolls. The bill is cut to whatever length the items need, so there are no page breaks.
Note
Changing the format does not change invoices you have already generated — their PDFs are already made. It applies from the next one.
