Keep a services price list
Bill work that has no stock behind it, at a saved rate.
You will see this in your account when your trade bills services as well as goods. TracEasy turns modules on to match your trade, so a screen described here may not appear for every business.
Some of what you bill is not goods. Delivery, fitting, labour, a design charge — there is no stock behind it, but it still belongs on the invoice at a price you have agreed.
The Services screen is a price list for exactly that. A service behaves like any other line on an invoice, except that billing it does not reduce any stock.
Who can do this

Go to Services in the sidebar.

Add the service with its name, its code and its rate.

Give it an HSN or SAC code if you charge tax on it.
Bill a service
On the billing screen, search for it exactly as you would a product. The item card marks it as a Service: there is no lot to pick, no expiry and no stock check, so you can bill it as often as you like.
Note
Tax is charged on a service line in the ordinary way. Confirm the correct SAC code and rate for what you are billing with your accountant.
